What is a Pearlink used for?
A Pearlink is a load-bearing connection between the shackle, thimble and other components in an aquaculture mooring system.
What does MBL mean?
MBL means Minimum Breaking Load. It is not a working load. Selection must be based on the mooring analysis and the complete load path.
How should a Pearlink be inspected?
Check markings, traceability, cracks, deformation, corrosion and wear before use. Main inspection is carried out at least every 24 months and after unusual loading or suspected damage.
